Rock wool board is a fibrous thermal insulation material made from natural minerals like basalt. It is Class A non-combustible, heat-resistant, and widely used for building exterior wall fireproofing, industrial equipment insulation and pipeline noise reduction. Rock wool isolation belts, cut from high-density rock wool boards, are specially used for fireproof sealing and isolation in curtain walls, elevator shafts and steel structures.
Rock wool board features standard thickness, facilitating construction with excellent product resilience. Made from natural rocks such as basalt and dolomite, rock wool products are manufactured through a precise process: the natural rocks are melted into molten lava at an ultra-high temperature of approximately 1500°C in a cupola, which is then poured into high-speed spinners to form fibers; simultaneously, a phenolic binder containing silicon, mineral oil and other components is uniformly sprayed onto the surface of each fiber.
